May I ask how to install mods from the Thunderstore (if not another source)?

• Is it safe?
• Can players on Vulkan use it, or is it strictly DX12?
• What may happen if a mod does not work (there are players who dont know C# or have any coding experience)?

The mods the group wants to try are :

• a cosmetic mod based on the Digital Circus
• quality of life/performance tweak for the game (the cactus in mesa are brutal on a few player's pcs)
• piggyback for fun

go on your profile on r2modman, go to settings, search launch parameters, then it gives you the launch parameters it passes to steam to make the game modded

Anti aliasing drains performance.
Dynamic batching is for low end pcs you should have it on
Having Lod bias cranked to max has almost no performance degradation. And potentially saves cpu cycles by having it cranked to max.
Turn on steam overlay do you really need culling distance this low? It'll show by gpu and cpu usage.
