are you using a mod manager? if so change your startup option to dx12 within the mod manager's launch parameters.

For thunderstore this would be mod profile>settings>debugging>launch parameters> type -dx12

looks liek you have peak selected, you should have a list of avalible mods, but i do not see those.
unfortunately I have only had r2 work for me, so I can't really help you troubleshoot.
what I can tell you is whenyou have PEAK selected and a profile selected you should have the list of mods ftom thunderstore.
if anyone knows why r2 doesnt work for people please @ me. I had no problems with it.

thy're using thunderstore's mod manager. idk how it works. I'd rather not speculate.
I'd start by making sure bepinex is there, folders are correct, etc. we nee dbepinex to load before anything else happens. I think you're on the right track.

the problem relating to windows was that it corrupted my user profile when i updated windows, i decided to just reinstall instead of fixing it because i wanted to clean out my drives anyways. even then, i have reinstalled my mods twice including bepinex and its still not working, i know that the problem is relating to bepin because i have edited its config file to launch the console and even that isnt launching

so i figured something out, when i start the config without -dx12 (it crashes normally) bepin wants to actually launch, but the game crashes and now all my mods have config files. for some reason adding the launch parameter that prevents my game from crashing is making it so bepinex wont work

in r2modman when you go to the launch parameters setting and click on it, it gives you the flags it uses to make the game modded (along the lines of --doorstop-enabled true --doorstop-target-assembly "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\r2modmanPlus-local\PEAK\profiles\Default\BepInEx\core\BepInEx.Preloader.dll")

what you can do is go on steam, right click the game and go to properties, then put these flags into the launch options on steam instead.
you can then try -dx12 here too, or change the selected launch option to dx12
