"banning" is a deny list since theres no kick feature, ban the player rehost the lobby and they cant join you ever again

Yesh but im not at my pc right now. Once you download it load the game up then close it. Now your mod manager should have a option to choose what level number. Using the discord server search mesa seed or mesa level and someone listed which levels contain the mesa then just run the game again

Depends on the mod

If it's a mod that uses stuff already in the game files, eg 20 player mods or spawning in items such as food/dynamite etc, only the mod needs it

If it's a mod that adds things to the game that aren't in the mod files: e.g. new music, items, mechanics etc then everybody would need the mod in order to see/use these. They would still be able to join the lobby without, just wouldn't have access to the mod stuff.

The mod should tell you on thunderstore either way tho

I tried out the peak randomiser last night and ran through one seed live then scouted the rest flying. It sadly had a tendency to do the following things no matter which seed I picked

1. Scrungled shore
2. Thorn vines all over tropics, no big trees spawn
3. The alpine is super dark, looks like theres a spotlight. No spikes, no lava.
4. Theres about 10-15 lookers per tropic-alpine run

so heres how to get to the folders you need - after downloading minecraftbackgroundmusic (no need to launch the game yet), go to your mod manager settings, look for "browse profile folder". go to bepinex -> plugins -> find the mod in the list -> custombackgroundmusic folder. then you just go into whatever biome folders you want each song to play in and pop the mp3s there. as far as i know theres not an mp3 size limit tho i imagine the longer the mp3 the longer it might take the game to load it?

or if that modpack is outdated or contains outdated/depreceated mods

I've come to look into the hacking claims that a friend of mine was worried about, they had saw a video on tik tok warning about people joining lobbies even with private lobbies or their profile private. They want to play but they are also worried about this issue.

my big question here is if the hacked lobbies are a result of steam or a result of using mods on the thunderstore and if its something we should be overly worried about?

yes this is actually a pretty old vanilla issue too that i believe was fixed in vanilla but now reappearing in modded

it does involve chaingun specifically and basically everyone in the area around it gets wiped out (ppl far enough away may live but will have to deal with the most horrendous lag probably from collisions)

well it is a pretty nasty one ive had lobbies crash and lobbies survive, being all unintended behavior of course the results are so inconsistent

This is quite a frustrating bug. We usually have a lot of people — our lobby often reaches around 15 players — but this crash issue keeps happening. About every two games, one of them crashes, and the crashes always seem to happen in the MEAS and KILN biomes.
