decided to test if the food stat bug with well-done is fixed and nope it isn't

its even more bugged now

well-done gives a bigger stat bonus over its cooked counterpart and stashing and pulling out the item reverts it to the stats its cooked counterpart
incinerated is where it gets interesting. continuously incinerating the food item will make the food stat grow exponentially so you can get hunger reduction in the thousands and poison in the hundreds

you don't need PEAK_FixUnlimitedEndScreen anymore as PEAK Unlimited has the functionality built in. only the host needs to have it in order for it to be playable, but other clients can install it to see a working end screen

Not sure but to be fair, the PEAKER mod (this one: https://thunderstore.io/c/peak/p/lammas123/PEAKER/) does the same thing to an extent.

However I'm guessing the dev's did not communicate or something because it literally says in the description 'This will be removed at some point, in favor of PEAKAntiCheat!' so this is going to be a mess either way if it is actually deprecated and not merged with PEAKER.

Ok did some research and it might be that the developer never deprecated it but thunderstore did for some reason. Either way this will be a bit of a mess.

There was a form of anti-cheat mod that essentially ddosed the cheater until they left (or crashed) that was outright removed so I would not be surprised if thunderstore got antsy over anti-cheat by attempting to protect themselves from 'potential' liability. Either way we will have to wait for a response from the dev.

Yeah I have been a host once and there were quite a few false positives, mainly from someone picking up an item too fast. I only gave a dam if anti cheat clearly was like 'hey this dude got atlas/cherry' which has worked perfectly fine.

I think that's a host problem where they forget to set certain things to 'warn' which causes that exact problem. The Anticheat isn't a bad tool but that doesn't mean it automatically makes a host smart about how to use it properly.

That's pretty much why I hosted a game to see how good/bad the anti-cheat system, and there were a lot of false positives and the only thing I found the anti-cheat good for is detecting cherry/atlas. Don't trust it for much else unless I see someone do something that is blatantly cheating.

Cheat-engine isn't exactly a mod so much as a 'in-game--memory-injector' type thing. You can't detect it as a mod, only through warnings and seeing it in action.

I have run into a problem when the Peaker config has the Scout statue waiting on, if a Cheater does get softlocked it basically stops you from reviving anybody. Moreso I guess a Peaker non-issue though

yeah its mostly the item cloning /item spawaning system giving constant false positives since the last 2 udpates :(
set almost everything to warn only ( i hope its warn only default because of frequent false positives)

its still super useful but if you play with a host that has everything set to auto rcp block you can get yeeted every time you pick up an item

The eating code just sends a RPCA_Die. So you can block it locally, but everyone else will see you as dead. Need to add eat validiity to anticheat. Hope someone can pick that up.

BepInExPack had an update today that integrates this patcher through doorstop. You no longer need to download and use UnityPlayerPatcher. You now just have to set -dx12 as your launch parameter.
