Shores isn't super obvious but still not too difficult. Tropics is a little tough no doubt. Alpines the route is pretty simple to spot and doesn't require too much effort. Caldera is Caldera. Kiln is definitely tougher than yesterday.

The nerd is back, this time with coconut; since i have the units in numerical form thanks to math, i went ahead and starting weighing EVERYTHING and I found something interesting;
The full coconut weighs 5 units [13.9 lbs] whereas both halves are a combined 4 units [11.12 lbs]. TL;DR, if you want to carry a whole coconut as an early food source, make sure to break it first to save almost 3 lbs of weight!
there's also the fact that the Balloon Bundle perfectly counters the Scout Cannon in terms of weight, but that's probably super well known already; -6 units vs. 6 units

A stopwatch on Ascent 5 showed me that a full night [from Sunset to Dawn] is 3 minutes 20 seconds. just multiply that by 4. Why on Ascent 5? the Frost Damage is a clear indicator on what's Night and what's not.

there's always innaccuracies in math, which is why i went with Ascent 5's Frost Damage and a stopwatch to be as accurate as possible

when i got to 50% frost damage on A5, I took that and the time on my stopwatch [which was 1:30], and put them both in an equation.
Ticks = 90 Seconds / 5 Damage every tick
Ticks = 18 ticks
Then comes the unit:
Unit = 50 total damage / 18 ticks
Unit = 2.78
That means that the devs are working our Health and Stamina being 100, because 2.78 per unit*36 ticks of damage = 100.08
That's how i got to calculate with pinpoint accuracy the modifiers for different difficulties and the weight of items without being abstract.
As for the complete night, I did the stopwatch thing again with a lantern this time, and the whole night took 6:40 minutes
so now all that's left for me to do in terms of calculating weight are the items obtained from Ancient Luggage and Ancient Statues
EDIT: And all this math started with being fed up with Ascent 5. who knew that difficulty could be so helpful?

I'm back, this time with the weight of a Scout; since I play solo and never had to carry a corpse, i used the weight measurements I already have; it takes 6 balloons to achieve flight [confirmed by the Aeronaught Badge]. so we can assume that because 5 balloons is not enough to take us off the ground but only slows our fall, we can assume that 5 balloons is just very slightly under a Scout's weight.
A Balloon is -2 units [or -5.56 lbs]
A Balloon Bunch is -6 units [or -16.68 lbs]
Thus, the equation is -16.68 + [-5.56*2] which gives us a total of approx. 27.8 lbs.

for context, here's a brief refresher on what I found for that to be my conclusion;
- 5 Campfires + Constellation Badge = Aztec Prophecy of the Five Suns.
- Participation Badge + Temple Structure in Caldera = Sacrifice to Tonatiuh, the Aztec God of War and ruler of the Fifth Sun. he wants blood sacrifices in exchange for moving the sun across the sky.
- Bing Bong Idol = Reference to Tlaloc the Aztec God of Life and Rain and ruler of the Third Sun. This is directly correlated with how the Mesa can be the third level of the climb.
- Constant crashing and the island's fog = Mictlan, the Aztec Underworld. It's said to be shrouded in a fogs and winds of unyielding cold.
- Scout Weight = no living being above the age of 2 weighs this much, but bones do.
