if you have the cactus balls with you immediately drop the idol and manually pick and throw the balls away

Prob already mentioned, but my friend accidentally discovered the 3-pack balloons lighten your backpack weight.

Very helpful when doing the 24k badge, as the idol is heavy.

1st pic from a spoiler image yesterday, shows just the weight of the idol, with no other items in inventory.

2nd image is my friends weight, with the idol in backpack, but also carrying other items + 3-pack balloons. Still slightly less weight than carrying just the idol.
