Yup!! Snatching up the beehive and chucking it to a safe spot of ground typically does the trick.

• Run off and wait

The bees will swarm to the closest part of honeycomb on the ground, letting you stand without being stung until they dissipate.

If you fall from a climb, did you try to have some sort of stamina left and cling to a wall when you are near ground?

If you intentionally going to go down, Do you try to jump and fall down (somehow this allows you to fall further without taking dmg)

hmm sort of, try it and gauge if itll work or not, its really about getting better at judging what you can and cant make, knowing when to stop and fall back to find another route

use say half so you can go back, or abandon out with just enough left to grab wall if its lookin sketchy at the end
this is complicated by the shift lunge only requiring non-zero to do a full lunge, so a lot of otherwise sketchy climbs work out fine

Sometimes speed is more important than items. Also figuring out what items u want to use vs what items you can just leave behind is super helpful. Tenderfoot can also be a less punishing way to figure out the maps. Don’t hoard

Hey can someone tell me how the pages work?
I know the different pages spawn on different biomes but I’m also hearing stuff about the pages requiring different ascents?

There’s a guide on steam that explains this really well, I think basically each campfire has a chance to spawn a page on every generation of the map (although i’ve never had more than 1 page in a generation). There are 8 pages altogether and the one you gets depends on where you open it. If you open the scroll at the shore or the tropics you will get page 1, 2, 3, or 4. If you open the scroll at the snow area or the volcano you’ll get page 5, 6, 7, or 8. If you already have the first 4 pages (for example) and a scroll generates on the shore, you can carry it to the snow area or volcano to open a page 5-8. Uhh if a generation spawns without any pages you’ll have to wait until the next one, and the steam achievement only updates when you have each page like before the highest number page you’ve opened. Like uhh if you’ve seen pages 1, 3 and 4 but not page 2 the steam achievement will say 1/8 but when you get page 2 it’ll say 4/8. Finallyyyy i think the page you get is mostly linear i think. So you’re more likely to get page 4 if you have the 3 before it etc. have fun!

My kiln strategy is always - try to have as many rope launchers, chain launchers, thick mints, and energy drinks as I can hold on to.

Then, when u enter, go bridge-by-bridge. Look up, scout lines. When in doubt, go up!

Kiln is very different in that you need to keep going up and be comfortable on smaller ledges

Yes you can, the first four scrolls generate in shore or tropics and the last four generate in alpine or caldera

so if you need the last four but find it in shore you can save it until you get to the right biome

Yeah thats the way of me playing. I remember trying to go left side on tropics once, i was a little big high but then I didnt see any path forward so just went back and tried different way. Also have started using any cold/hot rocks to go through as a way of sacrificing some of my bar for a bit just to go forward when navigating through alpines/kiln while at the first completion i just avoided them. I really felt kinda off when I happened to complete the normal difficulty on the first time playing the game

yeah should be able to steal it without aggroing them? i think your grab distance and their aggro range are very similar though and might need to grab it into your inventory and not your hand

Asking mainly because I was trying to hit the beehive by throwing anything, i failed every time for like 5-6 times in total so just placed antirope, climbed up there and stole it this way. the beehive went straight into my inventory when i was trying to run away, looked behind me and the bees were still flying in the same place

if you do it from far enough they dont aggro and beehive doesnt exist in world so theyll despawn

even aggroed bees are less aggressive if you do it grabbing into inventory
