My friends and I just did a run where we got all the way about half way up alpine without using any climbing assistance items other than a single rope cannon in the Tropics. We ended up going far left and then swinging into the cave.

One of us did fall and barely have any stamina before we reached a recovery fungus, but we were taken out by a geyser a little bit after that.

Climbing on the ice rocks is the big trick for our path though

It let us make a lot of progress quickly without needing to climb quite as far

I'm not entirely sure how its supposed to work normally. but if you can pocket the hive into your inventory (you're not supposed to normally) you just need to get a bit of distance away and the bees will return to where you picked up the hive then dissapear after five seconds

if you keep the beehands in your hands and not inventory they dont stop following until you break it (i think im not sure)

yeah it worked out super well because i didn't know you had to inspect the scrolls for achievement progress, so i had 31/32 with 0 progress for the journal entries, but recently there was a day where there was a scroll spawn at the top of both shores and tropics, so i got 4/8 then, and my friends decided to join me for some ascent 4/5 runs and having it at the top of tropics after finding out i could just bring it and open it elsewhere got me the achievement in only 6 runs
