if you're not solo always try to crouch jump boost a player up and have them give you a hand up if the climb is long
in general you only want one person to use items like lollipop/energydrink or plain morale (extra stamina bar) for a climb and help other up without using that same extra morale or utility by either giving a hand or placing some rope

yeah, my first ever ascend 7 I was able to completely bypass the flare at the end.
but just remember to abuse this quickly because it's most likely to be fixed and make sure to practice with a flare just so you know you can do it with out one.

you'll die & take fall damage so you cannot get balloon badge in the run, you can get ascend 7 & balloon badge in the same run because really any type of mistakes on at that level is really not good at all and it's best to mitigate damage and play with good players. my 4th ascend 7 playthrough that was a win ended up in balloon badge
