Can I pause or save the game : No, there are no checkpoints and no pausing. You'll have to do a full run, 30 mins to 120 mins depending on experience

How many biomes are there: Depends how you count it. Shore, tropics, alpine, caldera, the kiln and peak!

Why am I getting poisoned in tropics: You have a tick or you're standing in poison plants, look down to find out. If playing co-op they can remove the tick. If solo you have two options, look down, spin around, and spam E or climb a wall and look down to remove it.

Can I get badge on difficulty: Yes almost all badges can be gained on any ascent. Only exception is the clutch badge on ascent 7.

Can I get all badges solo: Unfortunately no, you'll need at least one other player.

Food Badges Bug: Currently if you try to feed someone else it will register as you eating it. So if you're doing Naturalist do not feed friends anything packaged. Same with mycology and gourmand. Do not get fed the foods you need, eat it yourself.

Naturalist Badge: You can eat marshmallows, you can not eat energy drinks, sports drinks or lolipops.

Arborist badge: Big trees look like this. Note the trunk size difference to other trees in the tropics.

Clutch badge: You only need one person if can make it to the third campfire (Alpines), otherwise get three people for shore campfire.

Knot Tying Badge: Rope cannons, anti-rope and anti-rope cannons count for this badge.

What is the statue behind peak: No one is actually sure at the moment main guess is lore purposes. But it does nothing and sadly can not revive your teammates.
