it takes a fair bit of practice i think 😢 consistent size and general 3d shape understanding in animation is really important and since i make animations pretty often, im always polishing that aspect of my art

i guess my advice would be just practice a lot of 3d shapes, even if you dont plan to draw a lot of cubes or 3d oblongs in your life, understanding mass and how it appears in different perspectives is a good skill to refine

Gonna use my tracing paper a lot more for this then, since it slightly blurs the canvas to where I just focus on shapes

all characters are just shapes put together so if you get really good at rotating and drawing all the shapes, you'll eventually learn to subconsciously apply it to poses n stuff
the brain is a muscle and itl work into muscle memory, thinking about stuff like this

definitely, over correcting every little detail will lead to 15 hours on one drawing that in the end doesnt look fantastic anyway. i encourage short studies and fun studies, if u dont feel like drawing cubes in different angles, try replicating a simple pose perhaps, but without detail
simple if it doesnt look good, assess what it is that isn't good about it, and if it does look good, assess what DOES look good
all about self assessment i think, also helps to get feedback from others, but i understand thats scary sometimes
