my problem with AI is how its always used to lie and decieve most the time, people want to hide the fact its AI. nobody really takes advantage of the AI-ness either for an artistic edge, they just use it to make something that looks like a human made it

back before AI was this good I DID really enjoy AI art. I liked it because it was obvious it was made by a machine, and that was a part of the appeal. It was like looking into the dreams of a computer. and even now I find it so fascinating, but its also horrible what its grown into 😭

yeah, when used to replace artistic talent, ai sucks. but there are a lot of good applications for it, i will admit. i'll personally never use it in my artistic work, but it is beneficial if used right, especially in the animation industry. ive seen animators use ai to fill in in-betweens through their key frames to make the process faster and more enjoyable for the artists who would normally spend years drawing all of those in-betweens. ai can't replace artists, it should be used as an extension of their creative process, as a tool to assist creativity, not replace it.
