While my scout's appearance is based on a bull terrier, her actions more closely place her with tanukis. Blues are native to the Roots, while Greens are native to the Alpine. Blues take in symbiotic fungi as a way to commune with nature. They eat the salt off the roots of the massive trees, which I decided to call "Redwood Mangroves", because they're huge like redwoods but have big root networks like mangroves. And since a lot of mangroves collect salt on their leaves, I took inspiration from that.

Blues, Greens, Reds, and Purples are all carnivores. Not the same, of course, but still all carnivorous. Purples can strip an elk of all of its flesh and devour it within minutes. Greens and Blues can eat seasoned, cooked meat and Blues can eat mushrooms. Reds are insectivores, and munch on the fire loving species near the Caldera and Kiln. Yellows are frugivores, and have adaptations for brachiating. Limes and Oranges are omnivores, but Limes tend to eat similarly to raccoons. Cyans are piscivores, but can also eat kelp and seaweed. Pinks are able to eat heavily processed stuff, including these pellets that are essentially a nutritionally fortified cereal that others call "Scout Kibble".
