Clipping masks also help too, when drawing on the mask u can only draw on the layer below without it going off, very helpful

Imma drop my opinion on this whole begging thing

I don’t think it’s wrong to ask for art of your character, cause there are people who are bored and want to doodle something new, but at the same time art is HARD, everyone here has a beautiful and unique style of doing art and never the less it still takes time, from huge colourful pieces to small work doodles, it does and will always take time, and if you can’t draw and want art of a character then there is nothing wrong with showing it and hoping for someone to do it, but there is a time and a place for it, repetitively asking and begging is not good, if you won’t pay an artist for a piece, then it should be our choice if we want to do it or not, its a choice, not an obligation, and if there is a bored artist who is open to freely drawing characters, then there is nothing wrong with taking a chance, but if you really need an artist to draw your character, then paying for one is a much better idea, it’s not fun, everyone hates spending money, but if you keep begging and begging people to do it for free, then that is not okay, artists spend a lot of time and money to be able to draw and to draw in general, so, in the end

My opinion? Theres a time, but it’s no good to beg, artists deal with a lot already, so it’s not right to stress them out more

Randomly thought that he got abandoned/fell from the helicopter/fell down from the mountain right back to Roots, got infected by shrooms. Kind of symbiosis appeared. So later he was trying to cultivate another shrooms to eat and so this way feed the parasitic shroom in his body so to stay alive, since parasitic shroom literally helped him to "heal", changed a good part of insides and helps brain work..
Been into mycology for quite some time, mayhaps would apply something like that to my character, very raw idea
