Yeah unfortunately I created really good lore for Lamplight and why he exists. (Basically, there's the peakling realm and the spirit realm. They're usually seperated, but The Fog is a place where they intersect. This intersection acts as a "Soul Bank" where anything that dies on the island is forced to become part of the fog. This is why the islands laws of mortality are so weird, and its easy to revive someone after they die. You just pull their soul from the fog because it cant go anywhere else).
Eitherway, hes a wayfarer for lost and dead peaklings alike. Brace yourself emotionally around Lamplight in the fog, your dead friends might be in tow.
