Island is dumbfounded and doesn't understand why she reacts like that (pink sharp vines as confus), it didn't even do any real mischief. Like a child, it wants to distract Lilaea from what happened somehow - the birds are weaving a wreath. Lilaea feels, but doesn't realize what's happening and bursts into tears, because her head is filled with thoughts about her mother.
The palette of blue and pink tones perfectly conveys melancholy and embarrassment. The peak in the background is more like a reminder of things looming on the horizon, but too far away at the moment. Like it's not time.||
