Magnus, despite being offputting, is generally a sweet kid. He doesn't have much impulse control, and suffers from very frequent headaches- but tries to be friends with most scouts he meets! He tends to scare off a lot of potential friends though with his immediate willingness to eat anything, or say anything on his mind. I'd pin his age at about 14.
He is also convinced he's a wizard. Whether or not he actually does magic or is just hallucinating is up to interpretation.
