I'm holding onto the idea that the Island is alive, and it might react suspiciously to flares, and flare guns in particular. I imagine that for some primal chthonic entity with possessed monsters up its sleeve, this handheld fire would seem dangerous or unsettling. Roughly speaking, while you're climbing and using flares, you're being watched not only by your comrades, but also by something outside.

I'm learning to develop Discord bots and I developed Bingbong for the Brazilian server's entertainment. It has five commands:

/motivational -> Say a motivational phrase.
/hello-bingbong -> Bing bong answers "Hello."
/question -> Ask a yes or no question for Bingbong to answer.
/joke -> Bingbong tells a random joke.
/poem -> Bingbong tells a (bad) poem.

I made the bot without any intention of monetizing it, just for the server's entertainment. I just wanted to make something cool for my server because I'm a fan of the game and I love Bingbong.

ps: Ah, since the server is Brazilian, the bot is in Portuguese.

I tried out a lot of different methods of shading as my first experiment. I think my favorite is the one I used for the helmet, but that one was the most difficult, too. It involved preparing the area with multiple shades before using a blur tool to smooth it out.
Excited for my next experiment! Cannot believe some people do this for a living...
