It's not like a little person living in a computer, it's a whole lot of computers stuck together in one place to 'build' an AI and make it work the way it does. Putting all those computers in one place means they need a way to cool the computers that's more effective than just fans.
Like, when you get warm in the summer, it's always nicer to splash water on yourself then sit in front of a fan, rather than just sit in front of a fan. Because water makes it easier for the heat to go away more quickly than just air by itself. That's not exactly how the computers do it, but it's the same idea.
AI is theft in its current state because AI cannot 'think' by itself! It's not a person to have new ideas on its own, it needs to take things that already exist and stitch them together like a quilt. So it takes anything it can find off the internet, without paying or crediting the creators of those things, and creates something ''new'' that isn't actually new, and is just a mess of parts put together by a computer that can only guess at what's supposed to be going on.
