i finished a run 2ish hours ago without using any luggage items, just natural climbing, and only ate fruits and marshmallows. in the tropics, use the left side of the biome and there should be areas with giant branches without thorns you can climb on and there should be places with lots of lumpy bombs that poison you or launch you off the map and you move through those areas (it was the only "easy path" for me to finish the tropics in under 17 minutes)
I think you have like 3 hours till the map rotates out before this info is useless

There are technically spots that you can “stand” on to regain stamina, but you slide off since the areas to stand on are tiny even for a single person and you start to slide off if you don’t continuously walk up back in place. Try looking for green areas on slopes and you might be able to stand on a couple of them
I definitely suggest saving things like the chain and rope launchers to use on especially difficult areas if you’re confused if you happen to find them in luggages
I said it was possible to not use items, but I really had to min/max my stamina and cook my foods for bonus stamina, otherwise it wouldn’t have been possible

u can do it I believe in ya! i feel like i got super lucky with my drops. i had 3 energy drinks and 2 rope launchers when i got to the kiln so it was super quick
