yeah seems like todays map is loving middle routes with difficult ways to actually start them

i did use two rope cannons (lol) in alpine to speed things up in certain spots although i think there was other ways i could've done those areas if i wasn't trying to get out of alpine as quickly as possible since my lantern was almost dead and i didn't find some heat packs until near the top of alpine anyways

one energy drink the whole time until Kiln and no lolipop and no chain gun and ONE rope gun :(
but once i got to kiln luck turned around and i got 6 energy drinks lmao and a lolli

the only place i got lucky with items was two of the totems, where i got 2 cure-alls which saved my butt in the kiln because i fell a short distance but the game decided it was enough to suddenly take my entire stamina bar but i was able to drink the cure-all before i passed out
the way the game determines how much fall damage to give you is so wildly inconsistent sometimes

I peaked the current map within 58 min. on "first" try - you won't believe how I died before this run.
I was 1. climbing a bad path and 2. I was stuck on the wall. Tried to move but nothing worked. My stamina drained and I fell all the way down. Reason: I didn't notice that my keyboard died 🤦♂️
