You should climb on the middle part of the map for a few bit and once you can't see any way up, look to the far left and there's a cave system you can use to go up. It's an open one so you'll be able to see it

sorry to interrupt but i need someone to visualize the type of hell i'm in real quick. so i'm in roots on ascent 6 right now, right? and i got a book of bones from the ancient luggage near the leftmost side of the map. normally i don't like using the book of bones on myself because it's so broken it might as well be cheating but at this point i've gotten so desperate that i'll take any advantage i can get

because i didn't have anything to cook the book with (side note: how does that even work in-universe) i had to also take some curse damage. so i picked up a mandrake and shoved it into my backpack. and normally i would also be all for the muted SFX trick because it's funny but like audio cues are also a great way to tell if there's anything dangerous nearby without needing to look at it

so this is the type of hell i'm in. climbing up the mountain while getting screamed directly into my ears

i wanted to give my own personal two cents on this but it'd seem automod didn't like my original choice of words so let me rephrase it. coughs. PEAK has no built-in leaderboard of any sort so there's literally no one stopping you from playing the game the way you want in singleplayer even if that involves things you'd consider "cheating." with that said though if you use something like an undisclosed client-side mod to give you an advantage over other players in a multiplayer lobby then you will most certainly get kicked once they find out

if you die the run is over, if you make it up to a campfire (you should have a little campfire symbol next to your status bar) then you have a checkpoint at that campfire. you can leave outside of a campfire too but you'll lose the progress

I get the novelty and like the claw but the kicking feature and fact it forcefully ragdolls you for over 5 seconds is severely unfun.

Plus for some reason despite a high-end pc it causes lag that makes it impossible to fight back if someone just spawnkills me.

ima explain this a little more clearly lol, the kicking mode in the game is a custom game, the entire thing is just instead of helping people, you can kick them around. You are not forced to play it and are not forced to kick people. if you joined someone and they forced kicking mode thats on them. the mode is fine and does its intended purpose, to have a fun silly time
