They realized that the speed you went on vines and chains was tied to your fps, so they did a fix to sort that which made climbing on both REALLY fast (but sliding much worse) and then they fixed the speed to where it is now but the sliding stayed the same

backpack too! in fact i recommend putting them in your bag rather than on you so they dont escape when you go unconscious.

Just want to clarify for you how balloons work they just add a flat negative weight to your character (5% per balloon in tenderfoot - A2, and 2.5% per balloon on A3+), it's not that they affect specific items, they just reduce your weight simply by having them anywhere
