For a lot of climbs you can pretty much just double lunge or backflip double lunge your way up with very little stamina so you're not only climbing the wall faster but also spending less time waiting for stamina regen

Me and my friends got to mesa, invited another friend expecting him to be revived at Mesa peak, but he spawned at roots peak, so we had to go get him. Then we helped him up, spent 15 minutes losing racist and not having food, then started climbing when the dog was right there. Imo that first section of Mesa is the most BS part of the entire game. Tumbleweeds are ridiculous on the right side and the tornado can spawn on you whenever it wants or just absolutely terrorize you. Skill be damned it's out of your hands.

The best way to avoid everything is to immediately run to the far left side by the fog wall and follow it all the way to the canyon

I hate the mountain part too. I lost count of how many times I've climbed a giant section that was a dead end and I had to backtrack a quarter of the way down the mountain to re-route. Definitely nearing in the thousands

It is a big ol maze in there. I've only ever done it in tenderfoot mode so it wasn't too much to climb back down and go around. But I wasn't paying attention when my friends were climbing it earlier. I was uhhh drawing until they revived me heheh

also holding the golden idol out, anything other than weight and curse are ignored (you dont gain hunger etc), so hold it out if youre falling and you wont take fall damage etc
