after three days of trying, i finally got the gourmand and naturalist badges (i hate myself apparently bc i decided i was gonna get both at the same time)

and in the final and successful run, the alpine winds blew me away all the way down to the floor TWICE, making me lose one of the two winter berries.

i think that varies a lot from person to person. For me it used to be Roots, but then I improved somewhat and now the one I struggle most with is the Alpine. I exclusively play on tenderfoot tho, so I also don't have to deal with zombies in Roots

It varies from day to day based on generation but I think most good players would agree that Alpine has the capability of being the hardest.

That said I think it has the biggest swing in all biomes because it can be the easiest, the hardest, or anywhere in-between.

I used to believe that, but even in LFGs with people taking their time that is where most of my team dies (unless it's ascent 6 or 7, then they just die everywhere)

Tbh I think everyone just naturally takes risk in caldera, and it causes a lot of death because people panic and start spamming trying to get away from the heat when they're getting really hot

It feels really counterintuitive to stand still and wait for your stamina to regen a bit when you're quickly burning to death so I can see why it kills so many people
