The tech is far less important than just basic fundamentals. It took me about 60 hours total, but I did by A7 before joining the server and learning about tech, you just need a good groundwork knowledge like very basic route finding, a good understanding of how far you can climb and an understanding of how best to use items

Often people will go to a spot that looks good close to where they are, when if they spent more time checking options they'd see that it's a dead end, and somewhere further around would offer a much better route. Generally it's good to try and aim to go to the bridges whenever you can in my experience

The maps are procedurally generated by the devs one at a time. They said smth about this system making the map more random so it’s not just a bunch of possible chunks that get rearranged each time. That’s why it takes so long for each seed to be made and why they can only realease a couple weeks worth each patch
