A lot of it is based on momentum/time spent off the ground. So if for example you're sliding but very slowly, all of that time you are building up momentum and even though it looks like you're going slow you're about to take 80% damage

the game is normally pretty good at detecting sliding vs falling. but sometimes a slope is just slightly too steep so you you take a ton of damage

i want some badge advice/help. shooting across the mesa canyon in a scout cannon: I have already crossed the canyon (using a rescue claw) and im almost at the top of the canyon with my golden bing bong statue. I have only just now found a scout cannon.

Can I still get the badge by launching myself back across the cannon towards the starting zone? Presume I load my backpack into the cannon to guarentee that I pass it.

1st - try restarting steam and seeing if theres an update available.

2nd - make sure he's not opted into the beta. The beta is currently outdated, you need to be on the main branch.

3rd - For some reason, some ppls games got stuck on a version it wont update from. They will need to manually download a depot of the game and replace the peak files with these. Going forward, the game should then update automatically. (For instructions on how to do this see #1459870664403193959 message)

• open the game to the main menu
• go to settings -> general and search for "lobby mode."
• set it to "open with friends"
• host an online lobby
• access your steam profile using steam overlay
• find a button that says "join game"
• right click and select "copy link"

you now have a steam invite link you can share with others
