the devs generate a bunch of maps - upon game updates the maps in the pool are replaced within the game files.
These updates are usually done before the current series of maps in rotation are fully used up (occasionally theyve been like a day late, but thats one repeat every couple months - maps are typically not repeated.)

theyve definitely not been the same maps then. e.g. if a wall was say at a 30 degree angle, versus a 35 degree angle, it would not be the same terrain generation etc etc (this is true even on shore - ofc in actuality more will have changed than an angle of 1 wall, and the optimal path to climb will be different etc, but im just pointing out what we mean by it is not the same, it can be as nuanced as that)

It's because they're consistent, LNT is a badge because it tests to see if you'd be able to consistently complete the mountain ignoring any RNG elements, and shelves and beans aren't RNG

Didn't explain that very well but you get it, since they will always be there on the route you take, there's no point feeling bad using them because you would be able to use them just the same every time
