Yellow winterberry trees are super rare and aren't fixed per seed, so it'll be random per run

It isn't even guaranteed you'll have one on any given run

Is it alpine or mesa today?

Everytime I try to play mesa it’s freaking alpine

The ideal strategy is skipping as much of the map as possible by climbing trees and making it as high up vertically as possible and then continuing as normal. From the shore campfire ive skipped what seemed like half of the vertical climb, im sure others could have done better, or maybe its seed dependent

Otherwise you just need to be aware of like 17 different hazards, 2 of which are enemy ai. Main tip I can give is to always be prepared for gusts of wind, always have enough stamina to deal with wind, if you get zombie aggro, juke them at the edge of a cliff to save yourself the headache of like 3 minutes of chase they otherwise give, make use of the shroomberries, they can genuinely be so clutch, from healing to mini energy drink or lollipop effects. Red and yellow are always good, purple is SOMETIMES good, can have a bad effect instead, and blue and green are always bad

Also most if not all things that cure poison will cure some spores too, so hang onto a medical root or antidote. On the note of roots, each one in the roots has a 50% chance to be a mandrake, look up rope storage tech in the pins or threads or whatever and you can easily bypass this potential issue. Or your can just see that your carrot has a face and then thundercunt it off the mountain, but I like holding onto them in multiplayer to cure curse

There is a set rule where a map combination cannot repeat but the maps themselves have variants and seeds so its pretty random
