I was STRUGGLING. I lost the group in the jungle after I turned the goat into a decorative skeleton to satiate my hunger, then couldn't find a good route, then I got separated from them again right at the start of mesa, thought I found a really good route(it dead ended)

As a new player, what shall i do? I only have 14 hours playtime, struggle at the roots where spore cloud exist. Also any guide to beat kiln since what i know, you wouldnt get any food there and need a lot of preparation.

May I ask what specifically it is you struggle with?
As per your points about the spore clouds, if that's ailing you, you can always take your tine and look for a way around spore-infested areas, wait for spores to tick down etc.
As for no food in the kiln, holding onto the marshmallow at the kiln bonfire could help

The funny things, we usually overlook it and rely on brute force climbing since it still second map. Needless to say we still eat normal food, but sometimes mushroom since hunger cant be restored passively but poison can.

Just be careful on those big climbs running out of stamina after climbing really high on a wall is very out

i thinks thats one of the biggest mistakes new players make. they have a need to NOT use items and save them for later, which is why most of their runs end in tropics/roots. using the items earlier is much preferred, since not only its better to die when your hands are empty, there are way more items laying around

To be fair book of bones is mostly good for the other biomes In My experience, I tend to take fall damage the most in the kiln so I never use it past that point

More likely it was playing the game inefficiently. I have less than half the playtime of some people but because I'm very efficient when I play (constantly trying to learn and improve), I'm much better. Hours don't mean everything, it's how you spend them.
