dolphin climbing seems like an extention of spider but for some reason i cant really pull it off, it has a huge stamina cost

That's how it works, it costs more stamina than regular climbing so it's really only used for small/medium climbs but it's so much faster. More of a speedrun tech than a climbing assist

i did manage to theoretically climb the entirety of the rock wall in less than a full bar using only dolphin but it hasnt worked anywhere else

Also important to take the angle of the wall into consideration for Dolphin. If the wall is angled out towards you it doesn't really work

yeah i managed to climb the airport rock wall with dolphin using the same amount of stamina as normal climbing would, just tested

You probably did more of an aggro climb than a dolphin there. Aggro climb is kinda the love child of Dolphin and Spider tech where you repeatedly grab the wall at a low enough angle so that the grab doesn't use extra stamina. This can be used to gain a lot of extra height

I personally think it's the next evolution for top players. It opens up quite a lot of possibilities and if done perfectly not only do you climb faster with it but also preserve stamina saving on time for stamina regen

The way it works is you can grab and 'climb' the cactus balls so when you throw it your character is following it trying to climb it. Silly mechanic but we love it 😄
