i enjoy peak but dont think it was rigged or anything.

golden joysticks is based on fan reception, and enjoyment of multiplayer, which peak totally deserved.

game awards are based a lot more on critics reception, and everything to do with multiplayer and the games as a whole. i.e how well the multiplayer works, is implemented, and the game in its entirety.

I think peak works very well as a fan-receptive game but in terms of a game award its hard to compete with other things on that list

Best I can recommend when in multiplayer is to switch to another item then put that item away to reset your character. This also stops all of your momentum so if you do it before you're next to a wall you will just fall to your death

Mesa generally takes longer to climb than Alpines, so a little more difficult to get sub 30 on

and when climbing alpine, same thing but reverse

The way I see it is Mesa is generally an easier climb but the first running section + the canyon is longer than the running section for alpines and the climbing section is like 150m higher than Alpines. Alpines on the other hand has a larger variance in difficulty because with spikes it could be incredibly easy but on other variants there's a chance it could have a lot of really tall/hard to find climbs
