Man I choked. I was like very close to the top of the kiln. I tried doing energy drink + anti rope launcher. I was like this close to reaching a resting spot and I slide... I thought you can use rescue claw while falling but nope. I had like 1 more anti rope launcher, 1 anti rope, and fully charged rescue claw and I still died 😭

It was just so close to reaching a safe spot and the stamina was not enough damn.

you can jump to the side when they lunge (its really funny near a cliff- they fall off lol), you can bonk them with the frisbee or a coconut, you can dart gun them, if you have a rescue claw thatll get enough distance that you wont have to worry about it. additionally, while their spawns are random, there is a higher chance near spore clouds so try to avoid those.

they also dont exist at all on tenderfoot! gl to your dad!

obv you dont need to speedrun it, but ask any good speedrunner and theyll all say to ignore luggage lol im mediocre at best at the game and i dont need items for anything but roots, alps, and kiln
also i didnt say completely itemless, youll get plenty of stuff from the luggages in your path, im saying dont go out of your way for luggage

I aim for every luggage at the ground level and sometimes make small detours to ones that are close by

hmmm, ig depends on the generation that day, but id try doing a few climbs using as little util as possible ^^ if you find it, use it, otherwise just try to climb. youll realize a lot more stuff is climbable than it seems with slightly better pathing which you can learn

ground level are fine in shores and tropics imo, not worth in any other biome unless, as i said, already on the way. roots you want to stay as high as possible, alps isnt safe, and mesa most of them are mirages anyways KEKW

you can stand on the leaves, rotate to face away from the wind, and the treetops alone get you over half way and its an ez start since the shore edge gets you over halfway up the trees

I JUST BEAT ASCENT SIXXXXX. i died, gave up and used my flare at the (near) peak of mesa but had a checkpoint flag and found another flare in caldera. ONE. MORE. ASCENT.
