The way the claw works is it kinda locks you into an animation. You'll notice your character swing over to the right then swing back. Once they swing back you're free to press the key you have for the claw to put it away then you'll be able to grab the wall. Camera will still be a little shaky but you should be fine.

Alternatively if you're trying to use the claw for closer distances you can pull out and immediately put away another item. This will stop all of your momentum though so make sure if you do this you're already on top of the wall to grab it

No fall damage is easy as long as you know how to avoid fall damage and exercise caution.
Jumping reduces fall damage significantly, for example.

LNT is probably the hardest badge for beginners though

My advice is always Energy drink/lolli climbs, you're usually on tender for achieves anyway, so it's pretty easy.

Just dont place anything, and the placement items arent necessary to complete anything
