oh yea if you were cannoning it was almost certainly some sort of lag between you and the system causing you to clip into a wall (to be clear idk anything about coding or games, but ive seen similar stuff from scout cannons and thats what it looks like)

the cannon being pointed at the wrong angle or shooting you too fast at a rock at an odd angle or with a lower end pc/laptop will probably make it more likely to occur

Lots of desync issues today. In fact I was playing with people earlier and I climbed the tropics and when I got to the top and I was sitting next to the fire with a few other people, then someone that was dead "came to me" and I saw them go from one of the people right next to me and then pop on to me and yell at me about how I am at the bottom and I should just kill myself because I am being selfish holding everyone else up (actually he pretty much immediately started being a prick, I wish I woulda clocked his name so I could out them here) so I just left the game.

we tryed it from multiple hights across different runs and it didnt pop. i think when they fixed the bug where you ragdoll on the big shrooms that it would launch you hardcore in the sky the conditions for getting the badge mighthave changed in the code.
