I got the Book of Bones at the end of Caldera. would have been nice to get it earlier to not have to deal with Ascent 2's increased hunger for most of the run. but still it was quite manageable aside from almost dying when a rhino beetle launched me off a rock and into a spore cloud

Did they just tell you coconuts are in mesa? And coconuts are the first map, shore. Next map rn is roots, honeycomb in hollowed stump trees, alpine/mesa capybara for yellow winterberry (in alpine, look for the steam from their hot spring) then egg. Also, arborist can be done in roots as well
