That's fair, and I think for a general a5+ run mesa is easier (especially with the short climbs and forgiving routes) but it normally kills most challenge runs

Though 50% of my mesa climbs die in a clump of cacti after being yoinked by the tornado so

Achievements are a breeze compared to this

A lot of challenges rely on resource management which is much harder to do the longer you're climbing for, so it's easier on alpine since it's much quicker to climb

Roots achievements have the same problem as mesa achievements being that they have way more achievements than their counterpart

Mesa is almost always easier to climb as the individual climbs are shorter and there are an abundance of routes you can take through it, but it just takes a long time so it's better to do alpine for challenges
