Back before the mesa update was when i was attempting my lone wolf runs. One day, there was a weird glitchy crack in the alpine towards the top that sometimes you got stuck in... but the second you touched the ground youd just take a full bar of damage and just die

Yeah it calculates damage i think by time it considers you falling rather than how far you fall is my guess

its very useful for negating fall damage and more importantly, hunger. you should hold it constantly when you aren't climbing. food is scarce in the mesa if luggage doesnt provide.
