I have played this game plenty of hours but I still don't understand how the marshmellow spawn works.

I always assumed that it spawned one per alive player, but there has been so many times where all 4 of us where alive but we would only find 2 or 3 mellows.

Im unsure if this is a bug or an intended feature. I also have a suspicion that it might be related to distance (as in, one person reaching the campfire sooner), since for example we never had that problem when reaching the Kiln
