if you can kinda get an idea of how that works, it saves you making jumps/climbs that would kill you once you run out because you didn't have enough, and it helps to gauge what y ou can do in later difficulties as well i think

It's a check to make sure achievements are working. The "requirement" is reaching a zone below the airport. Just glitch out and walk into the void. Fall for a while and you'll get the achievement

I think it's the opposite, but it dipends, if you squeeze your eyes you can see a small smoke about at the top of the alpines, on Mesa it's easier to find but you take the berry at the very beginning so you have to bring it with you all the way up, unless you find the cooking thingy

i think the climb itself is easier in mesa, its just much more difficult to get to the climbing wall (tornadoes, sun, tumbleweeds, antlions, mirages, the canyon, vs just the blizzard)

Like an elephant graveyard style of bones. Giant skulls, ribcages or just the bones themsleves acting as spires, bridges or potential hazards.

Imagine crossing a ribcage as a bridge and the whole thing shakes before crumbling apart. Making them like the shore bridges but much more fragile.
