x2 hunger removed is when you cook it, so it takes out double the hunger than it normally does. Blocks are the number of points of hunger it does remove because altough you can't see it hunger takes a numerical value on your stamina bar

if you mean the lava cylinders in tropics/alpine, they do not give heat unless you touch them, in which case IIRC it's 20 health/ 50 heat
