It's not that bad once you understand that fire damage is temporary. Also, it's good to keep in mind that jumping before falling is better than just sliding off. I'd recommend limiting how high you climb too

Any other higher ascent lobbies that you have completed with others will always overwrite your current ascent to the highest completed ascent number.

So technically its possible to get Ascent 7 sash in your first run if everyone is willing to carry you. You probably might not get biome badges if you died along the way though

Yeah, but the steam community invite links are so cumbersome to acquire.

I personally loved how the devs of the game "GTFO" did their invite system. It essentially generated a random number sequence in-game and would copy it to your clipboard next you paste it in their discord's LFG (or via DM) and other players would copy that code and when they would "alt-tab" back into the game it would show a prompt to join that lobby.

It was quick, easy, didn't require you to add random people to your steam friends list or fumble around a multi-step process to right-click copy a link from your steam profile page

Man, I love the vibe the mesa brings. It really is the polar opposite of the lifeless tundra. Alpine has so little going on by comparison, it's just you and the cold. The mesa got the gimmicks in the divorce and it's so much better for it.

Also bottom right side of today Alpines's full of luggages so you are literally overprepared for the climb

no. alpine is fine the way it is. mesa is just gimmicky but there's no real challenge to it. alpine's climb is challenging and it doesn't need any more gimmicks.

dont be too conservative with tools legit just use it when you need to
use the double lunge trick if you know what that is
also legit if u have time for multiple runs just try to memorize optimal route for future tries
hold anti rope for later good since asc 6 has weight penalty

ok so a small thing to know is that you have a WAYYY wider faint window with cold dmg

so you can wait it out and gradually ease weight/hunger so cold dosent faint you too early and actually pass the night without any heat sources
