I mean yeah, i get that, it's what me and my gf try to do and sometimes it's pretty good, we can make it about half way up, it's just the lack of paths later on that make it difficult and qith some of the ones hat come around on the map change, we end up having to use most of our equipment before we can make it to the half way point, to get straight to the point, is there any special tips for Tropics that can be useful or is it just a difficult map?

Don't be afraid to take a bit of poison damage since it fades on its own

And also try to avoid climbing during the rain since you burn way more stamina

Take a good look at vines/thick vines to see if they connect to a good looking path. Big trees usually have a vine that connects back at the top

Tbh, not much aside from just getting better at estimating what's climbable and what's not based on your current stamina and finding paths based on that

For tropics I went up the middle, behind the big upshoot in front of the mountain, where th poison vines are, then I think I got to the big cave and went out the top right of it. There's a big plateau outside the top of it and it's fairly easy from there.

Alpine I went up the far left, you can basically go straight up, but there's a few jumps and long climbs.

Caldera I went on the left side, there was luggage and three egg nests

i got mine 3 years ago ish for around 2.5k USD and it has no issues. i'd call it a midrange PC specifically prebuilt for gaming. I can't say about others because i'm not knowledgeable enough. the devs have been actively working on optimization though

they cranked this out for a game jam initially, i don't think they assumed it would explode this much and now they're playing catchup with the whole making it accessible thing

Review of PEAK

I almost finished PEAK twice and want to share my thoughts.

Pros:

Awesome cartoon-style graphics — simple but very stylish and unique.

Gameplay is really engaging, especially in co-op.

Great movement mechanics — hooks, ropes, and other items that make the game feel alive.

Unique ideas: adding candy and energy drinks was a really cool touch.

Amazing interaction mechanics between players: for example, you can help your friend if they get stuck in cactus thorns, or even open their backpack when it’s on their back and take what you need. This is super helpful, like when someone dies and there’s only one medkit left. It adds realism and makes teamwork stronger.

Cons / Bugs:

There’s a rare bug: if you fall from a great height and your friend revives you with a medkit, sometimes your character starts flying uncontrollably and then crashes to the ground, leading to death. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s very punishing since the game has no saves.

The campfire cooking mechanic needs tweaking. Cooking food and candy is fine, but being able to “cook” random items (like a hook) feels illogical and can confuse players. Better to leave cooking only for food.

Overall impression:
PEAK is a great game with soul, unique ideas, and fun co-op mechanics. If the bugs get fixed and the item logic gets refined, the game will become even stronger.

Final note:
I understand how difficult it is to be a developer today — on one side there are impatient or spoiled gamers, and on the other side there’s the long and tough process of creating a game. I’m also learning game development myself, and I’ve tested and reviewed many games on Steam. That’s why I wanted to give feedback here — to help your game grow and become even better.

Alright the map rotates between mesa and alpines daily (so next rotation will be mesa) and everytime that happens theres a 50/50 chance of the tomb being open when mesa is there
