The flare stops spawning at ascent 4, and every ascent has all previous ascent's modifiers. To answer your question, yes, you need to carry a flare in ascents 4-7.

No, the Tomb entrance is seed dependent. But because the generator "rolls" to see if the entrance is open or closed, there is always a chance that it keeps rolling open, or keeps rolling closed. So anywhere from 0 seeds to all 7, 14, or however many they release could have the Tomb accessible

We started like any average game made pass Shore, made it to top of Tropics.. But.. My buddy.. Was carrying a large tick with him.. You hears me.. A TICK it was Phat .. And guess what my friend did? .. He incinerated it.. Using the extra space to keep a freaking incinerated Tick...
We told him to get rid of it many times.. But he secretly stashed it in his backpack..

Through our first time experience in Mesa, Caldera and Kiln.. Nothing bad happened to him.. While the rest of us.. Kept being thrown with inconveniences..
