On speedrun.com that is a separate category under “major glitches” at least. Legit runs are still unbeatable now though because they use the now removed vertical chain launcher. Unless you play on an older version of the game

it can be accomplished with piton, rope spool, or with just backpack too, i just give chain launcher in the guide because its very easily reproducible with like any conditions. other strategies u could be sitting for up to 30 mins struggling to make it work that i'd rather just not encourage using them

Slide cancelling is what I call it when you make a jump where normally you'd slide down but you grab the wall, let go, then grab it again to cancel the slide

It has limitations because if your momentum is too high you can't stop the slide with one cancel but it definitely makes climbing up faster and cost less stamina
