I think hunger increases in regular (or at least semiregular) intervals. The thing is trying to optimize food itens, knowing how much of the bar it takes and only using them when they'd be the most useful. That said, you usually find enough food climbing

either it is real bad luck or bad intuition to eating and eating and the hunger does not seem to take into account of food you ate right before it shows up on the stamina bar.

I assume the intended behaviour is to wait until you are hungry. Then again, it is a waste for items that restores hunger a second before it shows back up.

I should pay more attention to how long it takes for the hunger effect to come back after clearing it, but it feels fast if a player is too slow on climbs.
Speedrunners never seem to have that issue, but then again, they are too fast for the hunger to bother them unless they have not used food items in a while.

you just need to reboot peak until it works. if your mic disconnects during the game some ppl find they need to reload tje game for it to reconnect. also some have found that running on the same launch option (vulkan/dx12) helps

no, you dont even need to do it in one run - if you have a lookat the steam achievement it gives you the progress. that might actually be the issue - rather than tracking it in game it uses the steam achievement to track it

whereas some of the other badges are tied to escaping the island in game

useless pointer but you can store magic beans in the empty backpack you cant use in solo runs so you wouldnt have to hold it all run. and the ledge shrooms can be dropped without activating on the ground fairly easily. all this to say that i doubt the reason for them not being apart of the badge is because youd have a hard time dropping them, but it could be part of it
