From what i know, you wont lose progress or cosmetics, BUT im not too sure, its unlikely tho

a hotfix has just been put out so you'll need to update, make sure you completely close steam down (through task manager if you need to), then when you load it back up peak should have an update

Id try this:

1. Uninstall the game
2. In steam settings change your download region
3. Restart steam
   4.Change your download region back to what it should be
4. Restart steam
5. Redownload the game
