Do the devs have any plans to address this?
It's kinda the real low point of the game that keeps me from coming back every day, I rather wait for my friend to do it first and for her to tell me if it's good or not.

That's not exactly an excuse, otherwise the same could be said about every other level too.

There's a fundamental aspect about Tropics that makes it unfun. It's too hazardous and too not-fun to get over. They need to tweak the random gen settings to make it easier.

the thing with alpine is that it is very plentiful and the path up is usually straight forward, the only thing that supper sucks are how often the snow storms are but that can be avoided, tropics just consistently gets very difficult generation so its the one that gets hated on

Ideally, what defines a bad seed should not be that it's impossible, but that it's impossible without X.

Without using items.
Without using stamina foods.
Without using ancient items.
Without using a co-op partner.

A bad map should just be ones that force you to use these assist items.
Then, a good map would be an item you don't have to use items at all, just some clever use of movement.

Tropics so often just a barrier that forces multiple items and if you don't even have one item, it's a run killer, start again, lose 20 minutes.

Not really. Just make Tropics easier.
More accessible. I want to play Alpine, Tropics is in the way. I don't want to die 4 times on Ascent 3 because I ran into dead ends that weren't apparent every single time. You just have to get lucky or play on an easier mode first to 'plan a route', but I just want to go and do.

I think today's Tropic was a little trickier than normal, did a blind run ealier and got through it in the second day . I still think it's a personal perspective since I always made it through Tropic solo with ease but Alpine always got my ass afterward.

make sure to find a path with hiding spots to avoid the cold wind if you go out

There was a good path for the alpines that was along the way of the capybaras
Also in tropics there were one or two good paths
And in shores there was just a bunch of paths
Also luggages appeared in the kiln (is that intentional?)

Imo hardest biome for me is the trooics

The shore usually has a ton of viable paths. Also, the Kiln can have luggages spawn inside. They don't usually have much to offer besides food and the occasional rope or flare. I typically struggle with the Alpines more than the Tropics, but the tropics is definitely tough at times

yknow the glitch with people quitting and rejoining midgame? If you do it correctly your holding items will be duplicated. The consumable items are linked together (let's say 2 pandora boxes) but one-time-use ones like duplicated chain launchers can be use infinitely

I've found 2 shelf fungus: one near ceiling of that exact cave (it's on a shelf if you do like a 90-120° turn in that exact spot from screenshot) and one at the bottom of tropics, in a big cave with mushrooms and chests. There's a waterfall falling into that cave. The shelf fungus is to the right, a few dozen meters.

alpine has tons of ledges and it's a cakewalk once you reach the capybaras, just below the cylindrical cave's southern rim ridge
