I've been trying to do ascent 5 solo for a while, normally I carry a lantern or two on me from start to caldera

it helps that there is a lantern at the start but if you get no other heat source you're pretty much screwed (atleast from my experience)

In the main menu, go to settings and change lobby mode to 'friends'.
Then press host and go into the airport.
The green 'join game' button should now appear on your steam profile. Right click it to copy the link :)

How to use lobby code
You just paste the link ⁠into your internet browser.

The game can be closed, however if you have it running, make sure it is in the main menu (and NOT the airport).
If nothing happens after that it means the lobby is full - They tend to fill up very fast!

Also, game inv links don't work on the steam deck if youre using that and you will need to do it through steam friends instead

i went towards that ledge towards three vines from pom’s image. there’s a spot after that where you can climb up but you won’t notice it because it’s all dark

once you hit that spot, you climb diagonally to the left and there’s a cave you go through and from that point, it’s smooth sailing

I beat the game for the first time on default (not getting carried) so for me I believe it's been much better learning with default difficulty, and I also beat it on ASC1 all within a few days. you get a better feel for how things accurately affect your stamina and better at gauging damage taken from a fall

Both minor issues compared to familiarisation with the game itself, items levels etc. Plus a lot of the climbs and falls will have similar results. Adjusting to a6 by the time i unlocked it was a lot easier than adjusting to the game itself when i started

Some runs have been found out that they were cheated through some odd stuff.
