Needing a 3rd party modification to do so is modded. The only exception is really peaker+anti cheat to prevent lfg trolls trying to cheat menu your games.

Then host your own game, open up your steam profile ( veiw profile) your see in green on the right " In game Peak" and under it will be a "join" button. Right click on "Join" copy that link and then paste it in the chat here........ If you dont see the join button then once again check your invite settings and make sure its open and no invite only..................... If you see someone elses lobby code ( it starts off //steam then a bunch of random numbers/letters) and you want to join there lobby. Copy and paste their code into any search browser, chrome, yahoo, bing, whatever and click on the "Open steam boost" or whateevr its called

I am sure other people have different tips, but I personally try not to carry food until the kiln and only bring climbing items. Use food immediately, always have max extra stamina, and don't be conservative about using items if it makes your climb easier.

The game can be closed, however if you have it running, make sure it is in the main menu (and NOT the airport).
If nothing happens after that it means the lobby is full - They tend to fill up very fast!

The reason as to why rope mogs pretty much any items is due to how it can save stamina, like nicholasky said, in any climb. What does that mean? it means you can carry more things, accomplish climbs hungrier, or if you took some damage, with just a 2.5 weight item that has like 10 uses if you're using only 0.75

I've played this more than enough to know that rope is ALWAYS better than rope cannon and then in multiplayer it's not even a question as to whats best. BUT, if you're new to the game, pretty much rope canon always beats rope, simply due to ignorance.

If you're relying toom uch on the rope spool boost even with full stamina you might also be taking a bad route, but yeah, the rope can save you so much extra stam or save you in spots where you are lacking stamina due to hunger/injury/weight.
